In 1997, while stationed in Germany, I felt myself called to the old goddesses and gods of ancient Northern Europe. I was lucky enough to spend a decade in Europe, exploring museums and historical sites. After being honorably discharged from the Air Force I earned my Master’s degree in History, specializing in Late Antiquity and Early Medieval Europe. After working so hard to have letters after my name, I realized that it doesn’t really pay very well. Now I teach fermentation and brewing classes, as well as textile arts. I have an art studio where I make clothing and wearable art in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
